Email notifications are an important part of managing Service Requests on StreetscapePLUS. There are two distinct types of email notifications available:
1. Lot Follows
These notifications are for notifications on individual lot records, and are typically used by Builders who have submitted a Service Request. They are designed to be sent whenever there is a 'status change' on a service file. Example: A Request changes from 'Approval Request' to 'Approval Complete'.
Users can subscribe to Lot Follows in 2 ways:
1. Selecting the Lot Follow icon on the Lot Listing page (below).
2. At the time you make a Service Request, a Lot Follow pop up window already filled out for you (based on prior selections). If you clear those settings, you will not be notified when a status change occurs (same pop-up window as seen below, but notifications are already checked based on prior notification settings..
Only those making a Service Request can subscribe to a Lot Follow. Due to spam concerns, you can't request a notification for another user.
2. Email Notification Rules
Notification Rules give you more power than Lot Follows, as they can be triggered by more events and for large groups of lots.
To create or manage notification rules:
1. Click on your Name & Profile Picture in the top right corner of the screen, click on MY SETTINGS link.
2. Select the NOTIFICATIONS tab. Unwanted Rules can be 'Deactivated' and new rules are created using the '+Add New Notification' link.
3. Unwanted Rules can be 'Deactivated' and new rules are created using the '+Add New Notification' link.
4. In the New Rules pop-up window you can select Four different Notification types (Immediate email, daily, weekly or monthly summaries), community, phase and activity type. Depending on the Activity type you choose you'll be given a choice between different lot statuses or different locking changes. Once you are done selecting each option, click on Add Notification.
